When I rode the bus in DC (which was every day for like 9 years) I greeted the driver when I got on the bus and said thanks when I got off. Every single time.

Nationally I think it is a bad idea, in some larger cities it makes sense. Definitely could you a raise from where it is right now, something like 7.25 right?
