US AM at Atlanta Athletic Club

Tough matches for both guys this afternoon, but that's the way it goes in the Rd of 16. The guys should both get a lot of coverage on TGC today/tonight when they show it.
 
These are 2 very special golfers.....especially considering how old (or young) they are
 
Pretty cool to see one of the mid ams (Nathan Smith) doing so well too.
 
Young just won 3 consecutive holes to got 3 up after 11

Z has come back from 3 down to 1 down after 8

both have some good momentum
 
Zalatoris goes down 5 & 3; didn't play poorly but Olsen just played great. Great summer for Will and now he gets to head to Wake to start freshman year.

Cameron Young wins 1 Up, and moves into the Quarterfinals tomorrow as a rising senior in high school.

Golf Channel is airing the matches tonight from 630-830.
 
Nice putt by Young to beat the fat boy. The kid he plays tomorrow is irritating with the fist pumps.
 
Young was AS thru 16 and the guy he was playing finished birdie-eagle to beat him 2 up. Not much you can do about that. Fantastic showing for two guys who have yet to play a college match.

Hate that he lost, but totally agree that both of 'our guys' played so well .
