Wake opens as 1.5 point underdogs tomorrow at home vs. Clemson. Wouldn't be all that surprised if we won. Teams are pretty equal in terms of talent, but Clemson plays great D and has beaten us 5 straight times. And they have KJ. I'll go:

Clemson 64
Wake 58

Just ready for the nightmare to be over.

Wonder how many times in the history of this series that Clemson has beaten WF 5 in a row? Maybe in the Bob Staak era when Clemson was loaded with Dale Davis and Elden Campbell, but even then, WF upset Clemson in the ACC tourney in a 1 v. 8 matchup. Heck, wonder how many other ACC teams, Clemson has ever beaten 5 in a row (obviously, Clemson has never won 5 in a row against UNC)? I hate WF's suckitude.

That was #2 vs. #7. We lost to State the next day in the Muggsy/Shot Clock game.

Love the Tuesday again? Sh!t tag. Does seem like we've had a lot of Tuesday games recently.

So you are saying we are historically uncompetitive?

Wake has never lost six straight games to Clemson.

They've lost five straight three different times. Twice in the 80s and currently.

Remember this is a Tuesday night game. That should be factored into the spread. Historically, Wake usually could count on a W when playing Clemson at home. BZZZ and Staak are the exceptions

Clemson plays great D and has beaten us 5 straight times.

Under Bz, the most we have scored against Clemson is 60 points. We have averaged 53 points against Clemson in those 5 games. In Clemson's 2 previous trips to the Joel against Bz, they won by 14 and 20.

Just another example of what a poor hire Bz was.

Clemson hired Brownell the same year that WF hired Bz. So, each coach has had 4 years to recruit and "coach-up" their roster. Clemson has historically recruited at lower level than WF in basketball, and the level of commitment to basketball at Clemson is less than it is at WF. Given these factors, WF "historically" holds an edge over Clemson as is reflected in WF holding a 98-57 lead in the series with Clemson.

Despite these advantages for WF, Brownell now has Clemson basketball at a level above WF, and is now going for his 6th straight win over WF. By any reasonable measure, Jeff [Redacted] has failed miserably at WF.

Brownell 67-54; 1 losing season; 29-35 ACC
Bzdickless 47-72; 4 losing season; 14-49 ACC

Oh yeah, and Brownell has never lost to Bzdickless in this series
