I came to post the exact same thought. Disrupted the rhythm of the offense. Otherwise we looked strong. I hope it can continue.

I don't think coaches teach this any more because with the slow-developing rugby style punts, it's too easy for the covering team to get downfield and down it inside the 10. Might as well catch it and try to get something

Last time at ND we had one good drive in the 1st and punted inside the 40. Glad we didn't repeat that mistake even if the result was basically the same.
