Wake Forest vs UNC-Pembroke

Our front court definitely won't be our weak spot. Such a shame we don't have Codi or Crab to start the year. It would be such a shame if we drop a couple early games that keep us off the bubble

He didn't show it tonight, but Manning has described Crawford as a good shooter.
 
To me there was just a lot of tentativeness. If Devin didn't have the ball people were just kind of waiting for things to happen. I don't mean that in a negative "standing around" type of thing. People just weren't looking to score the ball themselves. That will be the biggest problem with Codi and Crab out. The freshmen will need to be more aggressive to try to score the ball.
 
Just read through this thread. The beginning was hilarious.

I was very encouraged by the defense tonight. At Tulsa in Manning's first year as a head coach his defense ranked 148. In his second year they improved to 33 and won conference USA.

I was hoping our defense would improve a lot this year, and from the first game it appears that might be the case. After the game Pembroke's coach said, "Wake is really good on defense. They're going to be tough to play against. When they get to full strength they're going to be hard to handle."
 
SCACCHoops has their efficiency at 76.7. That's ridiculously low. There were approximately 83-84 possessions and they scored 64 points. That's damn good defensively no matter who you are playing.
 
Can someone please compare Crawford to another player ( former WFU player or otherwise )?
 
Don't understand some of the comments about Wilbekin, he really settled us down and had 7 assists to only 2 turnovers, that is pretty good. Devin was a beast and the best player on the floor and Wilbekin was one of our better players tonight

He like everybody else played much better in the 2nd half. Both turnovers were from trying to passes through multiple defenders that weren't smart decisions. He has a great stroke on his shot though.

That's reassuring. Love Stan but he is not careful to tell you who did what. Couldn't tell where all the turnovers were coming from.

Except for Thomas, he played very good both halves.
