Wake Golf 2024 - Going Back to Cali for the NCAA Title; Women: May 17-22; Men May 24-29

funny things can happen the last day when the pressure is on

literally the 2 worse team for our chances had really good rounds today.

North Florida and Colorado going -8 today is killing us. We are going to have an uphill climb unless some teams fold tomorrow...

with Brennan as the last one on the course, and currently the dropped score, it looks like we will be 9 strokes off the cut line in 9th place to start the day tomorrow.

not impossible...but close

WF played well today -7; moved up two spots from 9th to seventh, but as WF is still 9 shots out of the fifth spot, WF's efforts only gained one stroke on getting to the 5th spot (WF was 10 shots out of 5th yesterday).

So, WF is going to have play better tomorrow and get help to climb four spots and 9 strokes. That said, getting hot can happen, GT shot -22 today in the Salem, SC regional, their #1 player shot 62 today (10 birdies; 8 pars) to move from 5th to 2nd.

Can it happen? Yes. Will the golfing deacs suddenly outperform vs. underperform on the big stage? Mehhhh.

Even if we play well, several teams will have to falter - which can certainly happen, a few of the teams in front of us seemed to have over-performed so far so you never know...

If we play well tomorrow the late bogies today by Kennon and Owens may come back to haunt us...

The teams ahead of us started out going crazy low today. We need to career it.

we are so done. N Florida and Colorado again playing like gangbusters.

N. Florida birdied something like 8 of their fist 14 holes.

13 shots back. Sucks but you can call it. We didn't have the best season overall, had a great ACCT run though. Hope they come back strong next year.

Also we're getting beat by 4 teams we're ranked ahead of. So we were on the edge of being expected to advance, but we did not bring the heat this week.

What faint hopes WF had were extinguished on the 5th hole a 627 yard par 5.

Scotty Kenon birdied that hole. Yay.
Michael Brennon par. OK.
Andrew McLauchlin bogey. Not so good.
Mark Power. Double bogey 7. Yikes.
Boyd Owens. Snowman. 8. See WF men's golf in the Fall.
