Wake Forest: A source tells CoachingSearch.com that Wake Forest head coach Dave Clawson has offered a position to The Citadel head coach Kevin Higgins. Clawson once coached under Higgins at Lehigh. Higgins is expected to accept a position on the offensive side of the ball that includes the title of assistant head coach.

Prior to arriving at The Citadel, Higgins served as quarterbacks and wide receivers coach for the Detroit Lions.

Elko/Rugg were only making 135k at Bowling Green. The ST coach and other assistants were only making 85k. Those guys can get huge raises without breaking the bank. Likely left Claw some room for a premium hire like Higgins.
