I still don't understand why a group of athletic directors have to take time out of doing their actual job in order to seed and schedule the tournament.

I don't know what a typical job description for a college AD is, but I would imagine that things like representing their school on other committees, groups, etc would be considered to be part of their actual job.

I serve on a number of boards and committees by virtue of my position but they do not always directly impact my day to day job.

FWIW, RW has been receiving media training by CBS in preparation for the selection show interview since the fall.

Shouldn't be necessary for a high D1 AD in 2014. Lack of media training ought to be a disqualifying factor.
