WF MBB Game 18: Deacs at BC: Saturday 8 pm: ESPN2

This might be the most spectacularly incorrect take in a Pilch preview I can remember.

And I’m sure he couldn’t be happier to be so wrong.
Really appreciate the write ups for each game, but stoked it was deadass wrong

Pretty amazing we can lose the ACC player of the year, a NBA draft pick and then someone be a better team.
Key word in the foregoing is TEAM. Guys understand and perform their roles. Bigs this year have to be reckoned with at the rim. Marsh at 89% shooting! He doesn't get the blocks, but he gets alters and "discourages" - shots that aren't taken in the paint. Marsh understands that as of now his game is within 10 feet of the basket.

Appleby and Hildreth aren't making the highlight reel passes that Manman made. But they are both delivering effective passes that get team mates wide open shots.
Hildreth drives with power and finishes making lsyups through contact. Just not with Manman's spectacular dunks. Still counts as two points.

Carr starting to make a lot of noise. Threes and play on the low blocks.

Three of five positions better this year than last. And the two that aren't are pretty close. Two guard this year much better than last.

It’s amazing how relatively ineffective/limited Davien has been the last few weeks and yet the team has so many contributors. we have a really nice 8 man rotation working and really like seeing Bobbi and Davien getting nice minutes and contributing.

At this point last season, we were 14-4 (4-3) coming off a win at Virginia. We went 9-4 down the stretch before the ACCT.

Right now at 13-5 (5-2) with more Q1 wins, and plenty of opportunities left. We have 3 of our next 4 at home agains teams that are lower in NET than us right now. This is a really a great opportunity to separate ourselves if we are going to snag a bid.

Interestingly enough, we were sub-50 in NET after 18 games last season, not sure where we will drop tomorrow, but probably mid-70s?
