WF Tennis (WS Open Starts Saturday)

Oof, the move indoors is not going to help the Deacs. Rubin and Bogaerts are both better outdoors and those are two positions that we have to win

Also Duke has cameras at their indoor center. Hopefully they will turn them on

Not a great start to doubles. Anywhere to get scores other than twitter? The ACC scoreboard isn't working.

Down in all 3 doubles so far. We need the doubles point as we have little chance of going 4-2 in singles.

It's looking like we will be down 3-0 quick with a legit chance at winning Rubin, Boegarts, Ho and Tabrizi's matches

Down 0-3

Rubin up a set and a break
Boeg up a set on serve
Ho down a set on serve
Tabrizi up a set down a break

After losing the 1st in a TB Ho is down a double break in the 2nd... this one looks over. It was a valiant effort but we needed Ho or the doubles point to come through.

Await a great draw for NCAAT

Ho down a set and a break now. Looks like it is slipping away. Still a great tourney and should be some great tennis in the Dash for two rounds of the NCAAs.

Respectable result today, but losing to UVA is still annoying. Hopefully a bunch of fans will come out for the regional. The only other time we ever hosted, in 2007, there was a massive crowd and they saw probably the best match in Wake tennis history. The Deacs beat Clemson 4-3 in a marathon to make the Round of 16 for the first time

Agreed. Decent match. Nice fight and play from Bogaerts and Rubin.
I wonder what would have happened at 6 singles if it had come down to that? Tabrizi hasn't won a lot of matches this year, but neither has Styslinger, and he doesn't seem very clutch.

Styslinger should be better, but maybe he struggles from not getting a lot of matches. He has been very inconsistent his whole career at UVA.
