I don't think those qualifying records mean much. Last time they needed a playoff to qualify and finished 4th.

Ever since the draw I've kind of bemoaned the fact that the first weekend fixtures (except Italy England) looked awful on paper to the casual soccer fan. Well these first two games have been much better than I expected.
