Actually [Redacted] stays for his 5th year, Larue and Battle are terminated, and Howland is hired as the Head Coach in Waiting.

Radio guys specifically mentioned BC, but BH didn't discuss them specifically, made it sound like he was waiting for more openings.

In Westwood for sure. Strange part of it is (apart from legacy) no one really cares about basketball anymore in SoCal. Incredibly fickle group. Even the Lakers (unless they are in finals).

Wants to win at a high level is key. In the new conference setup there aren't a lot of jobs at top tier (I use that term very loosely) schools in top conferences with ADs (for better or worse) that tend to give coaches long leashes.

how sad are you that Wake missed out on your boy Bruce Pearl? Obviously Auburn knows what they're doing with their $2.2mm offer.
 
So there's a good chance that Wake is the most attractive open gig this year (as far as potential goes)?

While there is zero chance that Bz stays as an assistant, WF is going to be paying two head coaches next year, regardless as long as WF hires a new coach as Bz's 5th year is guaranteed.

Maybe Ron already reached out to Howland and Howland expressed interest conditioned upon [Redacted] being his associate head coach.

And oh yea, if absolutely any part of what I just typed is true then I want no part of either Howland or Wellman.
