Triad Pro-Am League - That just happened.

Probably shouldn't do this, but here are my thoughts on the rotation:

PG CJ 25, 15 TC/Fields
SG JTT/Chase 30, CJ 10
SF McKie 18, JTT/Chase 22
PF Nikita 20, McKie 15, Green 5
C Carson 28, Nikita 7, Green 5

CJ 35
McKie 33
Carson 28
Nikita 27
JTT/Chase 52
Green 10
TC/Fields 15

Not sure how to distinguish between Chase and JTT at this point. I'd guess most games the hot hand would get 30 and the other would get 22. The positions depend on how well either can defend a bigger SF. I'd guess Chase by default.

Green's going to have to play due to foul trouble because Carson and Nikita will pick up cheapies here and there. He may not get 10 minutes most nights, but he'll have to play 20 some nights just because.

Well when you put it that way...

Nikita will play a lot more than that 13 minutes and we better hope Green plays less than 15 because he's not ready for prime time.

There's almost no way that Nikita plays 27 minutes a game without fouling out.

Sorry for the delay, but the final product isn't really up to the standard that I would like to put on here. I'll throw it in here anyway because anything is better than nothing. The transitions from each highlight to the next somewhat cut off the end of a few of the ones before, but I got it so pretty much everything is visible. As for the shakiness I apologize, but I'm not a steady hand so it will have to do.

I will get better footage and try to do something about the splicing for the next few Pro-Am dates. The footage includes (in order) Carson Desrosiers, Chase Fischer, CJ Harris, Daniel Green (black jersey, gold pants, #4), Tony Chennault, and Travis McKie.

Enjoy!

I think Green is going to contribute next year and be solid by the end of the season. That is a hunch only though and I come to it because he has a passing resemblance to Josh Howard from the neck up.

I do think he'll be a disciplined big who won't turn the ball over that much and that might be half the battle in the paint for us. Tabb and Nikita for the amount of touches they got were just turnover machines.

McKie was head and shoulders the best looking player in those clips. I hate that he's going to have to do so much, but I think he can do it.

Fischer obviously hit some more 3's, but I was taking time to watch the games instead of follow a certain player/get it on tape. I'll get some more of him on Thursday.

McKie did look good.

He has a bullet lookin shot. He missed one like that too that barely got above the rim. #stayneartherimlookinboy

Sorry, I was kinda down from Green and TC's "highlights" when I posted that. I forgot about Fischer. He looks like the kind of dead eye shooter from the bench we haven't had since Dawson. Buttery release. It's kind of pie in the sky and they have some pretty obvious weaknesses (size, defense, turnovers most likely) but CJ, JTT, Chase in a 3 guard could at least put up enough points to keep us in some games if Bz can come up with the best way to get them open. With McKie and Carson also on the floor that's five guys who can spread the floor and hit jumpers. It's what we've got to work with. I think McKie is more of a small PF than a SF anyway although I think he'll start at SF.

That one shot that cut off went in from the corner for Fischer. He hit some LONG 3's in the 2nd half and also showed some good vision on drives. I was pretty impressed.

His form is very good and it appears that he will be pretty consistent when he isn't triple-teamed

I don't think it's pie in the sky, we will have to run three guard lineups often out of necessity. Guarding the SF spot is going to be difficult.

Oh my god the amount of hand wringing when Chase became Bzd's first signed recruit. In your face Marshall was almost as good as it got for a six months. Will be kinda cool if he is a stud.

TC played 20 mpg over the last two months of the year. Can't see his minutes dropping by that much, if at all. And we didn't offer a marginal point guard to sit on the bench. Fields is going to play. So that's my main critique; TC and Fields will go way over 15 MPG combined. And it'll probably come from the JTT/Chase combo. I'd say more like:

PG TC 20 | Fields 15 | CJ 5
SG CJ 28 | JTT/Chase 12
SF JTT/Chase 25 | McKie 15
PF McKie 20 | Nikita 12 | Green 8
C Carson 25 | Nikita 10 | Green 5

Mckie 35
CJ 33
Carson 25
Nikita 22
TC 20
JTT 19
Chase 18
Fields 15
Green 13
