Well, at a minimum he wouldn't be in the silence mafia. Seems he genuinely believes the Gooner/Dumpers stuff.

more on this, just read P1 and tsy's role--he couldnt use it the last 15 minutes of the day. He made the kill, or rather it was posted, at 958. This doesn't make eagles mafia, but it makes that excuse/self clearing from tsy's mafia utter bullshit.

Agreed. Here are additional thoughts on the situation.

1. There was no requirement to get you team's approval before using your power.
2. Eagles isn't necessarily around all round to help with quick decisions.

You don't do it d1. Claim cop. Claim anything. Then use it d2 when you have more info. Just not a smart play. Regardless I'm sure it's why it was used, which is also why sd3 is Mafia.

You will get to it if you re-read everything. Eagles called it a bad play and SD3 softly defends saying that he was getting heat and needed to use it. SD3 wasn't really participating in the round, so the thinking is that he gained that knowledge from maf chat.
