Official 2016 MLB Season Thread (Nats Blow It Again)

It's a throwaway year. The early run was fun, but against less than the best competition. It's cool.

Rays are not so good. Was hoping to tread water until Cobb comes back, doesn't look likely.

Volquez has worst start in a century. Gave up 12 runs in first two innings before being pulled with 0 outs in 2nd

Phils beat Madbum in Frisco. All things are possible.

Matt Carpenter is killing the ball. Most overlooked superstar in the game.

This happened on Saturday, but Jose Altuve went 4-5 and finished a triple shy of the cycle. He had a chance for the triple in the 6th inning, but he lost his helmet and his belt buckle came undone as he rounded second and he faceplanted. Astros dugout laughed their asses off. Jose just smiled because he's a mensch. An adorable, tiny, preternatural hitter.

Lol. Thats hilarious. Gonna have to look that up

I do think that PNC is still my favorite ballpark even after making it to OPACY.

I liked PNC, but I'm not a fan of the concourse, where you can see the field while ordering food. I went to a game where it poured and the layout provided little protection from the rain. At least if you go to OPACY, the concourse protects you from rain in a rain delay.

That's fair. We had beautiful weather when we went to Pittsburgh so it wasn't a problem.

Lucas Giolito to debut tomorrow for the Nats.

Tampa, losers of 11 straight, welcome Boston and immediately score 5 in the bottom of the inning. You have a pitching problem, Boston, and you need to fork over your system to Atlanta to straighten it out.
