This ends the era for LA sports. When I arrived here, although I never liked the Dodgers and Lakers, it was a sports lovers dream to wake in the morning and pick up the LA Times to read the great Jim Murray's columns. Then we got to listen to Chick Hearn and Vin Scully.

Jesus, trying to compare a starting pitcher's number of games versus an everyday player is disingenuous. If Fulmer pitches seven more innings he qualifies to be the AL SEASON ERA leader.
