I think some website does projected NIT field, but there isn't a real tournament for baseball. Extremely disappointing way to finish the year. I like Coach Walters and hope he's able to do well over next few years. Wake is a tough place to win consistently at and it takes a special coach to succeed.

Actually, we don't need to go anywhere playing like this. And at 9-16 in the ACC, not even in our own ACC tourney

Where are you to defend this effort? This team is garbage and has been garbage all season. We got lucky with a few excellent starting pitching performances. Our hitting and anything past two OK starters has been embarrassing. Relief pitching has been abysmal to say the least, our hitting has been beyond embarrassing for scholarship college baseball players. Please come tell some fans that they don't know what they are talking about.
Our success this season was a aberration. We lack the talent to compete in the ACC. The baseball program at wake is just as sad as the basketball program. No future in sight. Miss the days of Greer and the JUCO/ CALI pipeline that used to have us as perennial favorites.

Our pitching has gotten better and is deeper. Still not where it needs to be, but better. Our improved weekday record is a testament to our improved pitching depth. Our hitting looked better until the Winthrop game, where it has completely dropped off the cliff. This team needed to win some of those road games that were there for the taking to gain some confidence. They have no confidence on the road and the only way to gain confidence on the road is to win some tough road games by executing in tough situations.
No reason we should be last in the ACC in batting average. We need to figure out why that is.

Virginia Tech is about to drop the first 2 games of their series with State. Georgia Tech has already lost first 2 v UVA. A win tonight puts us back in the ACC tourney field via tiebreakers.

This team is absolutely not garbage, we're top 40 in the RPI of over 200 teams, in what universe is that garbage?
Walter is a heck of a coach and he will have us back to where we want to be soon. Wake fans are absolute masochists about everything. We're comparing ourselves to FSU, Virginia, Clemson, UNC, and State with their scholarship deals as public schools. That's not really realistic. TAG you're being an idiot.

Both Men's and Women's Sooccer win because great coaches were hired and they were given good resources, nice facilities, and ample time to build their programs. WF is now reaping the benefits. With time, we will likely see the same results from the baseball program.

big win for the baseball team. With the way we had been playing on the road, I was doubtful. Today is huge. Win today, and we are right back in the mix for an NCAA bid. It would give us a marquee road series win.

...there's no need to call me out. We all want the same thing and Friday night was obviously an awful effort. To say that the success this season was an aberration is highly misguided imo and a disservice to the kids on the team that have been playing some good ball this year.
Great win for the Deacs last night. We need to steal another one today and we are back in good shape.

I still can't believe we let that mediocre BC pitcher throw 2 hit ball over 7 innings against us. In his two appearances since Wake, he has gotten shelled by UNC and Fordham. If we could have even won one game in that series, we would be sitting so much better.
