Best wine for under $40

Went to lunch today in Alexandria and didn’t plan on having any wine, but Wednesday is half-price bottle day, and it had to be done. A nice Barolo blend at a good price (great price today)

Grabbed a bottle of Ruth Lewandowski Rose Cuvée for $23. Vivino says that’s a hell of a deal. Never had an unfiltered rose

Insane price. Insane wine. If you are into natural wine the Lewandowski line is all fantastic. Feints is dope and the Boaz is just great. Let us know how you like it!

Love to hear it. If we like it, may have to go scoop up some more bottles.

Update: delicious. First rosé that I have thoroughly enjoyed. Gonna have to grab some more of it

ETA: just checked the Utah DABS inventory, no feints or boaz :/

I posted this on the CT but my mom has been doing the same with the old wines she and my dad bought on trips. Here’s tomorrow night’s along with what we had tonight, which my wife and I brought back from our trip (a 2021).

Served this today with dinner. My sister brought it to me after a visit to Chile. Haven’t read anything about it yet, but it is really good!

I got the Ribbon Ridge too. The 2016. Also got Murgialdai Getariako Txakolina 2021, Flaneur Wines La Belle Promenade Pinot Noir 2019, Molina Barbaresco Ausario 2019 and Gordenker Cabernet Sauvignon 2016. I'm pretty much done. If I see an interesting white <$50 I might pull the trigger but I'm good on reds.
Had the 2014 Ribbon Ridge Pinot a couple nights ago. It was excellent. One of my favorite Pinots I've had in recent memory. Only downside was there was quite a bit of sediment at the bottom and the sugars had crystallized in a really interesting linear pattern that looked very much like spider/insect legs. My wife had the last glass and got a brief scare staring down the end of her pour.
