Isaac Haas

It's just clown college these days. How many more embarrassments will we have to take? Wake Basketball is such a shoddy operation right now it's astounding. Fire everyone. Last-second crap like this doesn't happen at competent programs.

Fuck that! The Oracle says "Buzz In!"

Please go away. Camp is out and the football team is lost. Aren't you suppose to by "busy" now?

@SethOnHoops Hey, Coach. Need advice, my 7'2" nephew just got bad news about school he had verbally committed to. Any advice?

Hopefully that bad news is that the coach he committed to won't be there next year???

If we have to sacrifice this kid for Bzzz's head, than so be it. That's the only way this situation ends well.

Who are you talking about, specifically? Referring to a poster named "Strawman" won't count.

From my perspective a lot of people were very happy that we received a commitment from a 7' 2" 4-star prospect who was a consensus top 100 recruit with offers from schools like Purdue and Virginia.

Yep that's how I and most others felt

+1

so does anybody know what happened or should i make up something blaming hatch?

I mean as much as I think Buzz is a goof, why would he renege on this commitment? Haas and Shelton commits actually got him a small amount of praise. It doesn't make sense that the coaching staff would pull the scholly. Like another poster said, even if you may think he might not fit into the ACC, you don't dare risk the fallout that would occur. This is especially true at Wake where everyone knows that Buzz is on very thin ice. It has to be something outside of the coaching staff.

Buzz's entire career is filled with unexplainable moves...there's no reason to expect him to suddenly wisen up as an old man.

Unless Isaac Haas killed 5 hookers, I know I'm going to be pissed regardless.

This would be beyond unexplainable if it were Buzz's decision. This would be insane and he should be committed.

Clown college? You can't eat that.

Now Deman appears to think it was a last minute "hard sell" from UAB:

I think, in the end, it was some hard selling by UAB and his getting cold feet about leaving home that was the deciding factor. It happens from time to time and proximity is a very hard obstacle to overcome sometimes.

So, is that what the officially unofficial narrative is going to be from the AD? I assume so. It doesn't add up based on everything else we know.

Apparently the staff got "wind" of some disturbing news concerning the lad...seems we have a mole in the form of an Asian dry-cleaner who contacted staff and told them the boys britches were constantly soiled. I believe the tweet went something like --- "manchuriancand@$: he no wipe ass"

Buzz would never turn away unwiped ass

Probably a dumb question, but is there any possibility that it's a scholarship limit issue? Was Haas taking the last remaining scholarship? And then somehow that scholarship is being lost or taken by another player for one reason or another?

I assume we have no issues with APR but this link says men's basketball was last in the ACC for 2013.

Unless Isaac Haas killed 5 escorts single ph liked and did it literally minutes before his uncle's tweet, I know I'm going to be pissed regardless.

More clarification.

Just drop into the socon and get this over with.

The hard sell angle I get. A competent coach deals with it early on and is not blind sided at the last minute. It just doesn't happen in basketball.

18 hours before signing, Haas and his mom were tweeting about becoming a Deacon. Even a last minute hard sell takes more than 18 hours IMO.

The cold feet narrative still doesn't explain the "keep your head up" comment, nor does it explain the "bad news" he received from Wake. This is definitely not on Haas' end in my opinion.
