Okay this actually makes sense, gets more money now, and it's really just a 1 year extension.
 
Maybe, I think they've revised that though and may not happen. Even if it did it would be slightly down from the 2017 cap, still even larger than the cap he's signing under now.

Zach Lowe brings up a good point too, if this team sucks this year the extra year on the deal helps Presti trade Westbrook if he decides on a total blowup/rebuild in season.
