Why are soccer refs such pussies? Grabbing an official in any other sport basically gets you automatically tossed. And then probably suspended.

That's an excellent question. I don't think the refs are pussies, but they get absolutely zero backing by the higher ups like an NBA, NFL, MLB, or NHL ref would. FIFA really needs to address it because it's starting to become an issue at the youth level as well.
 
Jeff Carlisle tweeted a report that talks to merge Copa America and the Gold Cup and to play it every four years in the US are nearly complete.
