Samuel Japhet-Mathias

Now Benjamin beget Bale his firstborn, Asbel the second, Ahara the third,
Nohaa the fourth, and Rapha the fifth.
And the sons of Bale were Addar, and Gera, and Abiud,
And Abisue, and Naamar, and Ahoe,
And Gera, and Sephuphan, and Huram.
These are the sons of Ahod, heads of families that dwelt in Gabaa, who were removed into Mrtnahsth.
And Naaman, and Achia, and Gera he removed them, and beget Oza, and Ahiud.
And Saharim begot in the land of Moab, after he sent away Husim and Bara his wives.
And he beget of Hodes his wife Jobab, and Sebia, and Mesa, and Molchom,
And Jehus and Sechia, and Marma. These were his sons heads of their families.
And Mehusim beget Abitob, and Elphaal.
And the sons of Elphaal were Heber, and Misaam, and Samad: who built One, and Led, and its daughters.
And Baria, and Sama were heads of their kindreds that dwelt in Aialon: these drove away the inhabitants of Geth.
And Ahio, and Sesac, and Jerimoth,
And Zabadia, and Arod, and Heder,
And Michael, and Jespha, and Joha, the sons of Baria.
And Zabadia, and Mosollam, and Hezeci, and Heber,
And Jesamari, and Jezlia, and Jobab, sons of Elphaal,
And Jacim, and Zechri, and Zabdi,
And Elioenai, and Selethai, and Elial,
And Adaia, and Baraia, and Samareth, the sons of Semei.
And Jespham, and Heber, and Eliel,
And Abdon, and Zechri, and Hanan,
And Hanania, and Elam, and Anathothia.
And Jephdaia, and Phanuel the sons of Sesac.
And Samsari, and Sohoria and Otholia,
And Jersia, and Elia, and Zechri, the sons of Jeroham.
These were the chief fathers, and heads of their families who dwelt in Jerusalem.
And at Gabaon dwelt Abigabaon, and the name of his wife was Maacha:
And his firstborn son Abdon, and Sur, and Cia, and Baal, and Nadab,
And Gedor, and Ahio, and Zacher, and Macelloth:
And Macelloth beget Samaa: and they dwelt over against their brethren in Jerusalem with their brethren.
And Ner beget Cia, and Cia beget Saul. And Saul begot Jonathan and Melchisua, and Abinadab, and Esbaal.
And the son of Jonathan was Meribbaal: and Meribbaal begot Micha.
And the sons of Micha were Phithon, and Melech, and Tharaa, and Ahaz.
And Ahaz beget Joada: and Joada beget Alamath, and Azmoth, and Zamri: and Zamri beget Mesa,
And Mesa beget Banaa, whose son was Rapha, of whom was born Elasa, who beget Asel.
And Asel had six sons whose names were Ezricam, Bochru, Ismahel, Saria, Obdia, and Hanan. All these were the sons of Asel.
And the sons of Esec, his brother, were Ulam the firstborn, and Jehus the second, and Eliphelet the third.
And the sons of Ulam were most valiant men, and archers of great strength: and they had many sons and grandsons, even to a hundred and fifty. All these were children of Benjamin.

SJM is the 4th big on the roster and the 4th big this year barely played. Meanwhile, we need at least two of the other freshmen to be in the rotation.

He may be the fourth, but there are circumstances where he may be as important as the other two. None of the returning bigs have shown they can stay on the floor very long. It may take four guys to take the minutes that Devin played this year. Hope he doesn't have to play big minutes out of necessity. It would be good if he earned big minutes because he was that good. I don't see that happening as of now, but things can change.

Yeah I'll let buckets have the final word but that was not an encouraging mixtape.

The only thing we're going to need from SJM next year is defense. If he can protect the rim and not get bullied on the block, then we should have other guys that can score on the court with him. There are going to be times when JC is in foul trouble and Moore needs a rest, which will leave SJM and Dinos as our 2 bigs. We know Dinos isn't going to protect the paint, and we can't afford to have 4 - 6 minute stretches where teams are attacking the rim at will. If he can fill that gap, we'll be fine next year.

He's going to be our BJ Anya. Fine for a role player, but I can't see him providing a whole lot offensively.

He obviously will have to work hard to get better but he does have soft and sure hands, at least from that short video, and that can not be over stated for importance in a big guy like that

He's in love with that drop step.

He will improve a lot in the few months he goes up against Moore and Collins in practice, one would think/hope.

What I do like/hope continues is that he plays pretty "slow" but gets things done. What I mean is that the game doesn't move too fast for him - it is all pretty smooth and chill - at least when playing against UK "talent". Loved the block at the end - the white guy who "took it at" Samuel and somehow got only an inch off the ground and SJM blocked his shot with his elbow. good stuff.

Heard yesterday that Dinos had surgery last week to fix a partially torn labrum. Happened at some point during the season, so probably contributed to his shooting decline.

Only if his right shoulder.

He looks weak, slow, and out of shape. Long way to go to play the ACC, IMO.

My thoughts. He has a long ways to go.m based in that video. I'm not saying he can't get there but Danny is going to earn his money with sjm.

Not a good combo. BJ has a huge wingspan and is really quick for his size. SJM does not look anything like BJ.

Those are highlights from at least 6 months ago. He needs time and he has time to develop.
