It would be pretty hilarious to see what a search firm would say, though.

"Uh, you should at the very least pay market value for an established coach so you can stem the bleeding to the university's marquee athletic program -- quite possibly the most important aspect of the entire school. You have the money, so we'll put feelers out to Shaka and Marshall, and if they aren't interested, let's hire Ben Howland."
