Wake Baseball

The BC student radio announcers just said that the game needs to end by 7:10 so that it isn't suspended due to Pellagrini Diamond having no lights.

Now 8-5 Deacs in the bottom of the 7th. BC has runners on 1st and 2nd with 1 out. Donnie Sellers struggling again.
 
In typical wake fashion we tempt fate but 8-6 Deacs final. Jwb!

Kinda hairy at the end.
2 outs, bottom of the 9th, and BC had the bases loaded.
Good to finish it and get the win
 
Great to get the first game despite 11 walks and 3 errors, the last eerily similar to the end of the ND game. The layoff seemed to help Mondou. If he starts to hit it would be a huge boost. Did not expect this to be an 8-6 game given the pitching matchup but will take it. Go Deacs!!
 
BC doesn't have lights BTW. All their home games are in the afternoon if they're at the stadium in Chestnut Hill.
 
Dunshee pitches 5 innings and gets the win. Craig pitches the final 2 innings to get the save. Mondou goes 5 for 6 with a double and 3 RBIs. Craig also had 3 RBIs. Sheets, Breazeale, and Aiello had 2 hits each.

Win the series tomorrow. Really good to win the 1st game of the series because there may be rain each of the next 2 days. They may have a hard time getting in both remaining games.

Yep, with their ace on the mound and Dunshee giving up 3 first inning runs. This isn't a game you would give the deacs much chance of winning.

Mondou has been on fire the last couple weeks of play. Makes a big difference when he's on track.
 
Double header tomorrow now, starting at 11:30 a.m. Rain in the forecast for Sunday. Also, as mentioned earlier in this thread, no lights, so there's a small window to get these games in tomorrow.
 
They also apparently don't have the capacity for video or tv according to one thing I read.
I'm going to try to make it out for both games tomorrow. I am assuming there are no food vendors in the stadium due to past experiences with the shitty nature of BC facilities which sucks trying to stay for both games.
 
With Craig going 2 innings last night and Sellers scuffling a bit, it will be a real test for our pen playing two today. Quality starts would be huge today and thinking Farish and McCarren will be called upon as well. Winning last night helps tremendously. Go Deacs!!
