Ongoing US GOP Debacle Thread: Seditious Republicans march toward authoritarianism

today's lily-livered republicans love to be pandered to and stroked. They do NOT like to be uncomfortable
 
I thought we had a thread for this, but maybe we should just have a "United States Debacle Thread".

 
Mind you, this is also the party that is generally opposed to birth control, wants to force every single pregnant woman to have the baby whether she wants it or not, and then stops caring about said baby (and the mother) when it is born. It's a vicious cycle.

 
For them, society's responsibility is to force pregnancy, not to help take care of the child.
 
Well…if we can just get rid of them books whut have cartoon drawings of neked mouse-people holocaust victims and a few cuss words, maybe we wouldn’t have young people gettin’ pregnant when they can’t afford it!

Sounds not unlike some arguments we've seen here about the "evils" of Affirmative Action. Who needs diversity in anything - obviously black women aren't qualified for the Court, so just appoint a white male and be done with it!

 
So since Blacks make up a small percentage of Americans, it's statistically unlikely that they'd be the top candidate for, well, anything.

The responses to the tweet are brilliant. The winners are the ones they point out 2% is more than the 0% of Black women justices there have been and more than the <1% there will be.

The racism during this process is going to be exquisite. They won’t be able to help themselves. During Black History Month. While fighting against teaching anything but whitewashed history.

No, the math is all wrong. Any number divided by 0 is infinity, so, if anything, having no black female justices in the history of the court is infinitely over representing black women on the court.
