I hate Jeff [Redacted] and the people who brought him here

This isn't even our first massive blowout of the season.

I never understand this. What does this game (or for football, the Vandy game) tell people that they didn't know before? Nothing new happened. Same crap we've seen before. Bz doesn't have enough positive moments to outweigh all the negatives. Not sure how this could change the mind of anybody who tolerated everything that came before.

You'd be surprised. There's always a moment when the lightbulb finally clicks for the fringe lunatics.

Examples:

1. When a Clemson football coach loses to us during a poor season.
2. When someone in the SEC gets dominated by Vanderbilt.

Can't think of any basketball ones right now, but there are specific losses that just end all hope.

But it was the first one on TV during a nationally promoted event.

Well, that's true. I doubt the buzzinners are fanatical enough about Wake bball to spend a Saturday afternoon watching Wake versus Iona in a middle school esque gym via the internet's shittiest streaming service.

There are people that are still BzIn?

My pops said he was in front of a guy at the W&M game who was steadfastly arguing Bz's case. He said the guy's response to everyone around him was "X's and O's".

He called me during the 4-minute timeout in the 1st half on his drive home... Surprised he stayed around to listen to that nonsense for that long.

Oh yeah. I get that. What I don't get it why it takes some people multiple lightbulb click events to get it. The [Redacted] career is full of them.

Wow, I figured finding BzIners would be something akin to finding Waldo by now.

My only guess is because those old Wake Forest fans are used to disappointment and losing.

This would not have lasted this long at a school with a championship pedigree. The fanbase, across the board, needs to change their attitude and raise their standards.

This is where I hope you are wrong. I've lived those years and I saw the writing on the wall with the Bzz hiring and how it was handled. And I want him gone yesterday. And I'm willing to bet there are many of us who feel the same way.

The fact that he has lasted this long strongly supports my theory. The people that have the ability to influence Wellman's decisions need to raise their standards.

No doubt about that. Wake fans want things to be good so bad that they'll ignore the obvious in order to hold onto their beliefs.

It's sad, it's stupid, and it's downright frustrating.

Every successful college program has a level of boosters that keep their AD honest.

I can think of two examples: Dick Baddour and Jeremy Foley.

Baddour, who successfully pissed off pretty much every hole with the Doherty disaster, went for broke for a guy coming off a National Championship game appearance that he knew would win and get everyone excited again.

Foley panicked when Spurrier went to the NFL unexpectedly and hired his buddy Zook. When the last straw game happened (Miss St), he fired him the next monday and put himself in a position to get Urban Meyer when Notre Dame was after them too.

Why do I think these guys got the job done? Because they knew that the boosters would eat them alive if they didn't.

Our boosters eat whatever BS Wellman gives them.

Wellman needs to be sent packing.

This might be the worst time in the history of NCAA sports to have your major programs in the toilet.

Amen to that. Doesn't help that the ACC is tanking in Football and the B1G/ACC challenge. :( WFU needs to get their %#!* together...

I have to admit that I'm morbidly curious to see what excuse they'll come up with next. I was done after the Stetson game. It's been frustrating but interesting to watch the 81Deacs and Jaybones rationalize this. Surely they have some good ones coming up.

But but but...we're still not mathematically eliminated from winning 18 games!!!! :wtftard:

It feels like so long ago since I was "Buzz wait and see."

I'm so far Buzz out that I'm actually heading toward Kill Buzz

If conferences continue to go through meltdown mode why would any major conference invite Wake? Small market and both basketball and football programs are near the bottom of D1. It is absolutely embarrassing how far our athletic program has dropped in just a few short years.

His Garfieldian "I hate Tuesdays" (I wonder if he loves Tortellini?) has moved me to the "hate" stage of BzOut. I didn't vote in that poll, but I thought "naw, I don't hate the man, I just don't like him as my coach."

Now? Hate.
