More HPU students at Thursday's game than Wake students?

They are busing in Students for the game. I'm not sure if it's 500 or what the exact number is. either way we need more students to show up to this game since it will be embarrassing if they have more students than us. But in all likelihood they will have more students than us.

If HPU brings 100 students, there's no way we're competing with that.
 
A "We love Buzz!" chant from the HP students would speak volumes. Work on that.

I forgot who said it on a thread last week but clearly the students have such low expectations for the current basketball team that they simply don't care(omitting some of the more passionate sports fans) that post here. It's simply become a normalcy that we will suck and lose to the Stetsons of the world that until there's a drastic change we will never have a half way descent student section. Obviously a broken record, but to me that is the saddest part of all of this. I'm not a Buzz hater and certainly not a Wellman hater when speaking of their character. But it's painfully obvious to the blindest of fans that until a change is made within the basketball program we will do nothing but continue to hit a new "rock bottom".
 
My sister is down for trying to get her sorority to do something. I will work on this diligently. Suggestions welcome (and probably necessary since I doubt that these HPU people know of our plight).
 
Is there a presumptive reason we should know who Nido Qubein is?

Well if a whole sorority is involved, maybe we can get them to take some Gary Williams style pictures with Bz after the game.

That's what happened last time.

We played them Dino's last year, and it was actually a lot of fun. We led by like 4 at the half, and the atmosphere was great. The two student sections did some cheers back and forth at each other. Then we went on to win by 20+ iirc.

This year will likely be pretty awkward/embarrassing.

That game was awesome. My friend and I started a safety school chant in the student section when we had the game in hand. The HPU president didn't look to pleased at our chant. That might have been on of my favorite moments in wake basketball during my 4 years here which speaks volume to how bad we have been.

Is this guy a well-known public figure in NC? Don't get me wrong- I love it when alumni step up like this, especially ones from small schools like HP. Or Wake for that matter...
