They are extremely young, which is why they are largely unproven. They may well do great things at NCSU, but don't be a homer, there is not much in their collective backgrounds that points to great, immediate success. Even Doeren accomplished what he did last year with the quantitatively easiest schedule in Division I football. I'm not trying to throw salt on your enthusiasm, but I just don't see anything that leads me to believe they are going to be conference leaders anytime soon.
Oh no offense taken, us Wolfpack fans are just fired up about the new staff. And even the most pessemistic fan would be fired up about having a staff that included a HC coming off an Orange Bowl birth (was also the DC at Wisky during which they went 28-11 with a Rose Bowl appearance, an OC who just helped to coach his team to a Rose Bowl birth, and a DC who had the #17 total defense last season. None have really proven they can build and sustain a program but I think it's safe to say all have shown they can coach the game of football. Either way it will be interesting to see how it plays out.
And that's enough of me, i'll get off you guys recruiting page, thanks for letting me stop in.....
