[Redacted] not going anywhere...

Hypothetical: Say we lay an egg on the road against FSU in a few days in true [Redacted] fashion, where are we at?

One great win does not mean we retain our coach nor does a slew of horrid losses mean he will be fired. If he finishes below .500 in season three, I do not see how Wellman can retain him. I enjoyed watching this game, though.

Agreed, catching lightning in a bottle isn't very impressive when you lay a fair share of eggs in the process. It's Year 3, and Buzz still hasn't had a .500 season nor gotten us anywhere close to the NCAA tourney. Fuck my life, the cycle of unwiped ass continues.

Wow, the hardcore bzzouters just don't get it. The first two years our wins were against the bottom of the ACC. This year we've mostly beaten teams in the 1st division. Add to that an actual handful of heartbreaking losses.

This team could have just mailed it in today, but they just keep coming back after we write them off. I guess we have some 'character' guys (sorry couldn't help that).

After this, does anybody really think these kids are not showing up for CP3 day? Just bad new for MD and their bubble status.

The bzzout side is: we've stunk for 3 years, look at the blow outs on the road.

The bzzin/wait side is: we've beaten top teams, lost a bunch of close games, played with heart in tough home games.

We would have seen this team that showed up today every game this year IF WE HAD A REAL COACH!

Unfortunately I think the Miami win will carry a ton of weight moving forward.

Hell, Wellman hired Bz at least significantly in part due to one game -- Air Force steamrolling us back in '07

McClinton says he is not redshirting.

Daniel Green (nothing great as a frosh) is coming back.

Andre Washington might get strong in the offseason.

And they might make us........good? Next year.

We're losing CJ.

22.0% of our total points.
18.5% of our total possessions.
17.7% of our total field goal attempts.
26.0% of our three point field goal attempts (and 30.0% of our makes).
21.9% of our free throw attempts (and 27.6% of our makes)
10.7% of our steals.

He's also an unbelievably efficient offensive player, by far the best on our team, with 62% TS% and 55% eFG%.

We're on the front page of si.com right now. Ron must be ejaculating everywhere.

On the bright side, I feel like I can unabashedly pull for Wake again. No way Ron cans Bz now.

When the score came up on TV during the golf, I doubt many people across the country looked at our 12-14 record and said "Damn, Wake is making progress" I think most people thought Miami played like shit and were overrated.

I think most people had no idea of where we'd been for the past few years and probably went on assuming we were bad-to-mediocre. Awareness of Wake Forest basketball is almost non-existent nationally, compared to where it was five years ago.

I disagree. I'm out in Los Angeles and everyone still mentions Wake basketball when I bring up Wake. People who don't follow NCAA hoops closely probably saw today's highlights and weren't too surprised because they've heard of Wake hoops before. People who do follow probably thought this proves Miami is overrated. The truth is, we gave them our best game and earned a win. Let's hope we can build on it in the final stretch here.

What else would people mention when you say you went to Wake? Especially in Chris Paul's city.
