CT 94: I live my life a quarter mile at a time...

My old man called me last night because he and my step mom are coming into town Saturday to take me out for my birthday. Cool, right? Usually that means I get to pick the restaurant, we hang and chill a little while. Now my two nephews (11 and 8/9 -- technically a half-nephew and a step-nephew or something, very little blood relation) are coming along because they want to go to some lego thing at the planetarium and my dad goes "well, we were thinking about X restaurant where we went last time." I respond, well, I was thinking about a place right across the street where I've never been, but, uh, whatever is cool I guess. He goes, "well, X restaurant is what we were thinking." Ok, pops. S'all good.

My step nephew is alright most of the time, but goddamn if my other nephew isn't the most annoying kid on the planet. Maybe he's matured a little.
 
The stupid folks in St. Pete better leave me alone today so I can watch basketball and logoff on time so I can head to Girls Night Out sooner rather than later.
 
so the last couple of days whenever I click on a new YouTube video my computer's volume immediately drops down to the lowest possible setting without being muted. it's annoying, any explanation why it's happening and how to fix it?

as tom petty said, the waiting is the hardest part.

my friend who put an offer in on a w-s house a couple weeks ago was flat-out rejected initially. she waited a while and re-submitted another offer wednesday. they're STILL countering back and forth. (she went in a solid $25k lower initially though). Do you think you'll be able to reach an agreement today??
