So do any of you eat the heel of a loaf of bread? I had to resort to it yesterday for a sandwich and it sucked.

It's better with PB&J than meat & cheese. Spread the PB&J on the crust side, and you'll never know the difference. I can't just be throwing bread away like I'm the king of Jordan.

This. To make grocery store bread palatable, you've got to slather the thing with a condiment. Otherwise its too dry. Crusty bread is oh so good though.
