Most HR's in the regular season. Lose to 3 HR's in the elimination game. Classic.
 
well, i think i'm going to avoid this thread tomorrow. bkf and thereff are dead asleep right now but i'm sure they'll be up in 5 hours to get some oatmeal and prune juice and then troll us on the internet.

it's been fun guys. sorry my thread starting didn't help us. i hope y'all enjoyed my record updates in the title and the occasional funny title edit.

All in all, still a fun season guys. We have a lot of bright spots that will still be around, and a lot of young guys with one more year under their belts. The future is bright. Anything can happen in these 5 game series. Too bad we don't have 4 billion dollars to compete with the Dodgers payroll, but we still gave them a run for their money.

I was just thinking of a way to try to cheer you up, so look at it this way: Craig Kimbrel is going to be really well rested by next April.

Garcia actually pitched pretty well. If we had gotten that starting pitching performance in game 3, we would have won that game.

Does our manager realize that you have to manage differently in a postseason elimination game than you do in the regular season? He is not ready for prime-time.

Pretty damn glad I went to bed when I did, tied 2-2, and didn't witness Juan fucking Uribe's game-winning HR. Carpenter did us no favors this series. And what is it with Juan Uribe in the postseason? Good Lord.

This is what I am most pissed about (well, that and my decision to stay up and watch). I wanted Kimbrell in to start the 8th. BBD reminded me that the pitcher's spot was up first in the top of the 9th, so I was OK with Carpenter starting the inning. But for God's sake as soon as the tying run was in scoring position, you have to bring Craig in.

I was wrong about that. Defensive replacements led to a double switch, so the pitcher's spot wasn't first up anymore
 
The vibes were feeling right when Garcia went a solid 6 and the Helliot/Constanza combo for the go-ahead.

Juan Uribe is 33 and in his 13th season.
 
Cheese...I was thinking of you when Constanza came in to pinch hit. Don't you hate that guy?
