Obviously not about us. If Duke beats Wake and Carolina, they go to Charlotte. Ugh.
Where they will undoubtedly lose to the 49ers.

really not sure whether I want to make this my last home game as a student or just roll with the FSU blowout from last week and study for secured tranx instead.
Go Duke!
Hope they win by 40. Maybe that will embarrass Grobe enough to hang it up.
I thought about this too. Wellman and the SID are going to have to be really on their games this week in order to feed the announcers their typical info without Duke's success totally destroying most of their arguments.Going to be interesting to hear all that color commentary about how great Duke is doing at 8-2 along with how Wake is lucky to have Grobe as a coach.
Because a lot of people (including WF brass) are convinced it was a fluke and unsustainable apparently. All these schools are not doing this on a fluke. Why would we need Duke to show us that when we just did that ourselves 6 years ago?

We have no idea if it supportable at Duke. This is their first year with real success. Time will tell if it is sustainable there.
I don't think the Wake brass thought it was unsustainable. That's why they locked up Grobe with a hefty contract and spent tons of money on the stadium. It just hasn't worked.
My best guess is it opens Duke -8.5 factoring in Wake's bye week and having won 11 of the last 12.
Duke opens at 5.5 point favorites.
I heard a lot of "once in a lifetime event" talk surrounding the ACCCG and OB.
If they didn't think we greatly overachieved and cannot do it again, they would have at least forced Grobe to change his coordinators. Bare minimum, WF allowing Lobo to stay indicates that these past few years are normal and acceptable to them.We have no idea if it supportable at Duke. This is their first year with real success.
