Top 10 Greatest Plays under Grobe

Not saying it belongs on the list of top 10 plays, but the Josh Adams run where he broke about 5 tackles to seal the win against NC State late in the 4th quarter was one of the better plays not mentioned so far.

 
This is the most optimistic I've ever been about wake football. After this game I thought we had a real good shot at running the table. Then we lost at home to Navy the following week in the worst game ever.

The fact we only scored 12 points that game is really loboistic.
 
this should be divided by offense/defense. and the top 10 defensive plays would be alot harder to choose. i personally have too many favorites to decide.

some that haven't been mentioned:

josh gattis' game winning INT vs State in 2006
the morton to skinner TD pass vs Clemson in 2006
the richard belton rumblin' stumblin' 30 or so yard TD run vs FSU in 2006
the phonzo blocked punt for TD vs UNC in 2006
the phonzo shoestring tackle of Hakeem Nicks at the 3 yd line vs. UNC in 2006 (set up the Abbate INT)
the phonzo INT in the endzone in OT vs Duke in 2008 (Duke would have won with a TD)
the skinner to lovell jackson pass to set up the game winning TD vs Stanford in 2009

Yep, James Johnson. That was a key play in that game. if that ball was caught we likely would not have won, and he was their only decent receiver other than Calvin Johnson so we were able to give the future Megatron even more defensive attention after James Johnson went out. Defs needs to be in top 10.

that makes me think we should do a "not top 10". not sure if that riley fumble makes the list but the one at BC in OT sure as hell would. i just sat on the patio of Beef O'Brady's on robinhood silently for 30 minutes after that play

Weird. I'm pretty sure that's where I watched that game, too.

A truly awful ending.
 
I was on the patio at Beef O' Brady's watching that game too....ugh....
 
another Not Top 10 play is the missed Swank kick in Charlottesville
