Should Dan evaluate his own performance?

And if you're wondering how people know you take it personally, see point #4 and your repeated personal comments about Dan. I mean, did you not just post if you were Dan Collins you'd ask for $25 and chicken on the jaybone betting thread?

Hey - feuding with a beat writer about not being critical enough about an Athletic Department is all well and good - it's pretty funny most of the time actually. But the superiority act just ruins it. You have to realize how transparent it is.

Ph hates life in general. He is on a school dole and is not out working for a living like most folks. Let him comes out him and be an "employer" and try to make a payroll and match social security taxes. Or better yet, let him go thru what Dan has to and get furloughed in the summer with no pay for several weeks at a time. Then Ph would see what the real world is like.

Dan has seen and knows more about athletic departments, coaches, practices, players and everything that goes into successful programs than you will ever know. I heard him on David Glenn 15 months ago talking about how bad the program was, how much shit Wellman was catching etc etc. He took a cautious wait and see approach, letting the situation play out rather than jumping on the first sign of a problem (as you always do) to justify firing a coach.

Congratulations on trying to prove how smart you are by being the first one to call for [Redacted]'s firing. If you were an AD, you would churn through coaches so fast you'd bankrupt the department in a year.

El Chupe is on walkabout right now, but the gist of it was that TheReff and keeper and others were at a Wake baseball game together sitting in front of El Chupe, Reff leaves to go take a dump or something, and keeper and the other old timers just start ripping on Reff behind his back. Reff is basically like the Jerry Gergich of the old timer Wake community.
 
I don't think it's a dumb thread. Everyone is entitled to his opinion. I just disagree with bashing on Dan when we have Bzz coaching us. Dan does a pretty good job balancing his criticism of players, coaches, and administration while maintaining a good enough relationship at WFU to have almost unlimited access .
 
Dan has always seemed like a pretty chill and dirty reefer hillbilly hippie to me. I respect that. Guaranteed he has kin up somewhere in the Appalachians who grow some sick mountain ganja. He's an effective writer with a distinct voice. He's been wishy-washy on Bz, but (a) I understand it's weird when he has to interact with the guy everyday and (b) it's not his job to lead the movement to have Bz canned (that is why we have Stratt, for whom we are all grateful and thankful). Keep on truckin', Disco Dan.
 
Dan was just being nice to buzz because he wanted to try and get him high then he could write the best story ever. 4 20 deac u agree y/y?
