It could prove to be an advantage if the AthDept is actually in financial trouble.....We have plenty of donors with enough zeroes attached to their bottom line to bring in a new coach out of pocket without blinking an eye...If Wellman is held hostage by big donor money, he will have no choice but to pursue the candidates they wish to target....I for one wouldn't mind if someone took control of Lil'Ron's puppet strings
 
Seth used the phrase "certifiably insane" to refer to those who kept VT out of The Dance. He also blamed his own AD for a soft OOC schedule. He didn't mention that he, not Jim Weaver, recruited and coached the players who lost to VMI.

Moton's NCCU team on ESPNU right now, which is neat because it's like watching a high school game. A dude just walked to his seat down the sideline carrying a bucket of popcorn while the game was going on.
 
We have plumbed such depths that I'm not sure that I would even be that unhappy with Greenberg. He won at VT. Let him put together a good assistant staff and who knows?

I think mdmh has posted this story before, but we moved into the courtside lowers during the second half of the Wake/Nebraska debacle a couple years back. A (presumably) homeless dude came down and asked us if anybody was eating the popcorn in an abandoned bucket a few seats to our left, and then started eating it, proceeding to offer us both that very popcorn and some of his blue gatorade in an unmarked water bottle. #truestory
 
RW more than once has pulled a coach out of Ohio, and often from a school with which he has personal ties. I'm too tired right now to figure out who will be our next coach based on Ron's good oil' boy network.
