Chinatown DC -- Cool / inexpensive Restruants?

Can't really think of any. I think RFD might have outdoor seating in the middle courtyard. City Taphouse might, but I've never been. Other than that I can only think of restaurants. Cised that they are opening a Dacha beer garden on 5th between I and K but that doesn't help you now. Though I suppose you could go up 7th to the current Dacha.

courtyard at RFD is pretty solid. sat out there last weekend before the saturday Nats game and there was some Big12 pub crawl going on, which made for some great people watching. quick google/twitter search shows this picture, which definitely happened in front of us (the orange-haired gentleman on the bottom is definitely wearing some weird Iowa St striped overalls)

Finally had Mr. P's for lunch today. It wasn't bad. Not nearly as good as DCity Smoke. Not even close

Bar mini followed by Rogue 24 tonight. RJ personally called my wife yesterday and apologized he wouldn't be there but said he has something special planned for my bro in law.

Was actually at rogue last night. RJ hung out at our table for half of our meal.

Blue Duck Tavern for brunch today. Delicious. And much easier to get reservations for than dinner.

Had to cancel our bar mini res for tonight, but we're trying to get back soon.

Had the plate with smoked heart, pickled tongue, belly, etc at Partisan last week. Great tartare and octopus as well... Cool place. Red Apron sandwich shop by day, just like G/Kapnos. Which reminds me, still need to get to Kapnos.

Where do you all like to go to watch sports on TV outside? I normally just walk down to Union Pub but it will be swamped. Any good rooftops?

Really enjoyed Right Proper this weekend. Good food and really cool brews.

My neighbor is the head brewer there. Very creative dude. He's home brewed for years before starting this gig. When we moved on they came to our housewarming with a jug of beer.

Friday night choosing between two Isabella options. Kapnos or G Tasting Room. Advice?

heard great things about both. I guess it comes down to if you want more choice or not. personally, I'd go Kapnos, but I haven't been to either.

Yeah, last week's menu is still posted for G (two options per course). I kind of want to see them post this week's options and then decide. Have also heard good things about both. G is I think $40 with $25 wine pairings. Have a feeling at Kapnos we could inadvertently spend more...

that's prob true. Sietsema loved the G tasting menu...I've only had a sandwich but it was great.

Looking for a place to watch the draft/bball tonight, might finally check out Boundary Stone. Any other suggestions around U St/AdMo/14th?
