I can't really tell what's going on there. Is that Bo Porter knocking over a gatorade cooler?

Anyway, HERE are some fun Astros stats for u guys:

royalsreview: George Springer has as many home runs in the month of May than the Royals do as an entire team.

I thought being a WFU fan my whole life would prepare me well for being a Royals fan... but this fucking sucks.

I've seen his feed. He also was on local radio today but I haven't listened to the archive of it yet. It's ok though because last year it almost felt like we won a WS.

Dayton Moore - “In a small way, I feel like we've won the World Series.”

Still need to carry out my promise to organize a fund to send RJ to a SABR conference or Sloan Analytics Conference and have it documented by numbers.

Also, for a LF with such a good defensive reputation, Alex Gordon has taken some turrible routes on pop flies in this series. Just got caught running sideways instead of first-step-backwards on a Carlos Corporan fly that turned into a double.

He's just a great athlete. Makes up for terrible decision making with unreal quickness.

Royals are:

Last in AL in RS
Last in MLB in HRs
Last in MLB in Slugging %
Last in AL in wRC+
Last in AL in wOBA

Couple of days ago I was wondering if the #Royals system was the best I've seen since doing what I do. It certainly is now.

Astros Pro Scouting Coordinator, LET'S GO

Texas, what do you think about George Springer? From everything i've read and seen he has all the same tools as Harper except for the plate discipline, but he's not getting nearly the hype that Harper got.

Not really like Bryce Harper at all. More like a prime Chris Young, really. Another frequent player comp is Mike Cameron, which is a good thing to be.

Springer's K% probably never gets below 25% in his career. He generally has a good eye, and makes pitchers come into the strike zone, but his "approach" is poor insofar as he swings at every pitch as hard as he can. The problem isn't that he chases balls; the problem is he whiffs at a lot of strikes. His other tools are so great that he doesn't have to make a ton of contact to be an effective player, though.

Every year he hits .250 with a 10% BB rate and 20+ homeruns will be a good year. The holes in his swing mean he'll never be all-star material, but he should have a nice career as an above-average MLB player, and the Astros need a lot of those right now.
