KanhojiAngre's Playground

Are dv7 and kanhoji actually kind of bros despite the bickering? That's the feeling I get.

Again... 2000/01 Man United won the Premier League by 10 points.

That summer United paid nearly 30 million for Juan Veron (Scholes and Keane were still in their prime) and 20 million for RvN.

Good teams always try to get better. Buying players is not a glaring sign that somebody thinks what they've got is crap, as you keep suggesting.

Didn't they finish 3rd the next year? Even with Van Nistelrooy had some of their poorest overall scoring teams in the coming years? Seems maybe they did have some problems that were papered over for a year...maybe quite similar to now.

Successful tackles last season:

Ander: 103
Henderson: 83
Gerrard: 98
Lucas: 88 (albeit in about 10 fewer matches)
Fellaini: 44
Carrick: 61

God no. Wipe your mouth out. Never met him, and that's probably for the best for all concerned.

Because you would fight somebody because what they have said on the internet.

And remember I've seen your picture. You are not threatening in the slightest.

Herrera not good at defending? You've clearly never watched him play. Like ever.

Bilbao played him in the #10 role, but that isn't where he is best. He is a classic #8. Could even play the #4 role quite well.

Committed a lot of fouls, got dribbled past a lot by Barca and Real in the film I watched...admittedly limited but I don't really give a shit what he did against Osasuna and Getafe. Also cried to the refs a lot and tried to pretend like he got elbowed. So, seems like he'll fit in well with the other Man U divers.

That was the season that SAF said he was going to retire and it really seemed the squad only focused on the Champions League since the final was going to be at Hampden Park.

Ended up losing on away goals to Leverkusen in the semifinal. UGH.

This guy doesn't look threatening either, but I'm not gonna stand in front of him.

ZOMG. HYPOCRITE!!!!!11

"I was accused of falling inside the box in a match and it's true I did it that time, because we were drawing against Stoke at home and we needed anything to win it."
- Luis Suarez, Liverpool player

I don't give a fuck what you guys say, I still think you'd be bros and enjoy arguing in person.

I like to debate anyone. Kanho enjoys being wrong.

And if you want to ask me out on a date, BSF, then just go ahead.

Jedinak made 130some, should have bought him then!

Point -- We'll see how that translates. Bilbao plays a lot different than most teams. And as mentioned, most of La Liga is crap. Suso had 9 assists there and is probably not good even enough to stay in the Liverpool team.

Is it worse to admit it to doing it or worse to do it more often? Januzaj is on a truly staggering diving pace. Ashley Young must be his mentor.

Plus we know that Suarez gets more attention from officials anyway. Januzaj is a nobody and still gets carded because it's so frequent and obvious.

You do you, internet tough guy that threatened to beat up a woman.

I'm all about equal rights and equal treatment. If you're going to be an asshole, it shouldn't matter what gender you are. Same goes for the women that think it's ok to hit men because they can't do as much damage.

Much as the Apollo Soyuz project brought the Soviet Union and United States together through a common love for space exploration, I shall bring dv7 and kanhoji together through their shared loved of football/soccer.

Well, dv huffing some nitrogen fumes would explain a lot...

You said Ander wasn't good at defending. I was just showing that wasn't the case and that you made an uninformed statement.

You already admitted to not knowing anything about him, so I'm not sure why you keep saying he isn't good at something when you admit ignorance on the topic.

Or, let me guess, you used a youtube video to scout him?

Pretty sure I already said that that I didn't know much about him and watched his game videos against the top teams in Spain to get an idea. Dunno how he got 100 tackles but against the big clubs he didn't look like much of a tackling machine at all. He did look pretty decent at some other things.

Just did the same thing with Markovic against Porto and Inter...much more impressed with him. He makes mistakes of exuberance but boy does he make things happen. Rather Sterling-like. Need to find more players like that at the age they found Sterling rather than when you have to pay 20M for them.

Do you really think the clubs aren't making judgments in similar ways? Their time is limited too, ya know. You don't find out what a kid has by watching him against garbage clubs. One thing you do miss with the youtube videos is how a player got into a position to get the ball or win the ball, but for sitting on my butt in my living room on a different continent a few months after the game took place, I find it more than useful.

So you probably rely too much on stats, I probably don't care enough about them (in soccer anyway, different in other sports). But after the Comolli mess, it's obvious that numbers can mislead.

It's interesting that a post on RAWK, with no real additional detail, said that Markovic is a name that came through data analyst and LFC fan Lee Mooney's filter, though, so apparently at least by one analysis it does make sense from a statistical perspective as well.
