F is for Fascism (Ferguson MO)

The only links I see to an orbital fracture are conservative outlets.

ABC News only says serious facial injury, NYT artical acknowledges a reported injury but seems to downplay it.

He isn't coming back to "get his revenge". He is going back to arrest Brown for a serious Felony. You can't hit a cop and struggle for his weapon and then say "no harm no foul".

Then you stop and arrest him. You don't start driving away.

There is no account of this story where the officer drove away after the initial physical altercation.

Dorian Johnson's version goes like this

Officer Darren Wilson, who is white, told the young men either "Get the f*** on the sidewalk" or "Get the f*** out of the street," according to Johnson's accounts to CNN and other news outlets.
The young men replied that they were "not but a minute away from our destination, and we would shortly be out of the street," Johnson told CNN.
The officer drove away but stopped and backed up, almost hitting the pair, Johnson said. He said he wasn't sure what prompted the officer to return. Johnson told MSNBC the officer said something to the effect of "What'd you say?"

Unlike how some here reported it and how it was told on some media outlets, she is NOT an eye witness. She is giving hearsay from Wilson.

Are you as morally indignant with yourself for swallowing the original reports that Brown was shot in the back while running with his hands up:

So it's OK to get out of police car and shoot an unarmed person in the back if they stole a case of cigarillos.

Then after shooting the person in the back (who is ten yards from the police car), when the person who was shot turns around with his hands in the air (as multiple witnesses have said), it's OK to unload your service revolver into his chest.

God, you're transparent.

Townie, what is your reaction to this article?

Headline is sensationalist and it's poorly written but I understand the sentiment. As my high school Latin teacher used to say, mess with the bull, you gonna get the horns. He was an idiot though.

"Mess with the bull, you're gonna get the horns" - Townie's Latin teacher

Not fucking with you townie, I just think it's a funny appropriation of that quote.
It's like my old babysitter used to say, "no one puts baby in a corner".

When the Ferguson police department released the name of Darren Wilson, they also chose to release video footage which they claimed was of Michael Brown robbing a convenience store for some cigars.

The problem is, the video shows Michael Brown at the register, paying for the cigars.

From observation, it looks as if he had tried to buy more, but then was unable to afford it, hence why he left several packets on the counter. This prompted the store owner to come out from behind the counter and have a discussion with him, which prompted the shove witnessed in the full video.

Whatever words were exchanged between the man in the video and the store owner, they were not considered very serious, as the store owner nor the employees did not report a theft at the store. According to the stores attorney, the owners were bewildered when the police approached them demanding the surveillance tapes.

The store owners are now afraid of themselves becoming a target, due to the Ferguson PD’s attempt to tie their store to the fateful shooting. A gross abuse of police authority, one which now puts someone else at risk.

Even if Michael Brown were a petty thief, this does not excuse the cold-blooded shooting death of the 18-year-old. Of course the right-wing took the robbery claim at face value, and began labeling Michael Brown as a ‘thug‘ who did not deserve due process.

Just listened to the presser from this morning and went and found the following timeline that was explained in the presser:

Sounds like the response time was pretty quick for other officers to arrive on the scene, who then presumably called the nearby ambulance. I'm wondering where the audio is of Wilson calling in the other officers? Or 911 calls from witnesses?

I'm missing something. What you quote says the ambulance was referring to the sick person. I assume the sick person was in the same area because that's what Wilson was responding to as well.

Even if it doesn't affect the outcome of the case, I really hope that brown was innocent of the shoplifting claim, so the racist assholes can own up to it (they still won't)

That would throw a huge wrench into the police story that they were looking for a violent shoplifter in the area, and that Brown was paranoid about having just commited a crime.

they'll just say he was paranoid cause he'd just smoked a doobie.

So the ambulance didn't make a quick response to a call about Wilson shooting Brown. They were already en route from the original call at 12:48 before.

"The officer drove away but stopped and backed up, almost hitting the pair, Johnson said. He said he wasn't sure what prompted the officer to return. Johnson told MSNBC the officer said something to the effect of "What'd you say?"

What part of the enlarged area does say the officer started to drive away?

Is says THE OFFICER DROVE AWAY BUT STOPPED AND BACKED UP

That says there were four separate events:

Event 1-The jaywalking stop.
Event 2 - The officer starts driving away
Event 3- The officer stops and back up
Event 4 - The officer gets out of the car and shoots Brown.

As I've said many times, had the officer shot Brown during Event 1, it was all on Brown.

However, even your quote says that Event ended and others started. Once that first Event ends, it's not about the cop getting punched.

Pretty sure no one has confirmed (or denied) Johnson's story, right? No one knows if that's even close to what went down. Didn't Johnson also report he shot Brown in the back? Which we know is not true.
