Dammit I was coming to post that. So #contrived

We probably both saw it on the same FB page.

Greg Hardy trending on twitter. Doesn't look like any new news broke but still...not good.

Yeah, I don't see a way he doesn't get suspended before the month is over, whether it's by the team or the league. Weird because nothing has changed in his case.

I assume his defense was probably thinking 2 game suspension from the league when they presented his case. Who knows how different his defense would have been under the new rules.

Yep. This is why you don't retroactively apply penalties IMO. Regardless of what Hardy did it didn't do and regardless of your thoughts on him as a person, this is an example of rules potentially being relied on and where changes can be damaging if applied retroactively and inconsistently by the one man panel that is Roger Goodell.

Richardson/Rivera should just grow some balls and suspend/bench Hardy for 6 games to be able to take the high road. Otherwise, they have to see that this is just going to blow up in their face.

Shouldn't hardy's legal process be allowed to play out?

Shouldn't hardy's legal process be allowed to play out?

It did, he was convicted. Should they wait 4 years for him to continue to push it up all levels of appeal to the Supreme Court?
Miami cut Ochocinco for a similar offense right when he was charged.

Just watched the piece -- pretty unfair portrayal IMO, they didn't mention it was Hardy that called the cops or that Holder had done coke (or anything negative about Holder, really)

Do misdemeanor DV cases routinely get appealed to the Supreme Court?

And a little disingenuous to compare what the Dolphins did with an old WR on a small contract and what the Panthers are doing with Hardy.
