UNC football hype never fails

So his thing is wearing an NFL jersey of former UNC players on the sidelines while UNC is playing? Well, hey, that's just awesome. You keep being cool, dude.
 
What was he talking about when he said "the architectural mistake in the end zone, the Butch Mahal"?

Much tougher end of season schedule for the holes this season than last. Larry the Hat is in damage control mode.:eek:
 
Notre Dame defense has given up less points all season than UNC did in the one game with ECU. Interesting fact...
 
I hope this ends the "sleeping giant" nonsense for a few years at least.
 
How does UNC recruit so well every year and still suck? They've gone through 3 or 4 coaches in the last 10 years and nobody can win there without cheating.

They weren't *that* good when they were blatantly cheating. But yeah, I have no idea how a school can recruit that well and produce so poorly

Talent evaluation is pretty poor would be my guess. F$U had the same issues late in Bowden's tenure. They were raking in highly regarded players, but their ability to discern those players for fit and actual ability was lacking (OMG STARS DON'T MATTER!!!!111!!). I'd have to look at their recruiting strength by position too. It's pretty obvious that their defense blows dong right now, so how has their recruiting been on that side of the ball the last few years?

UNC recruits get a bump from being UNC recruits. But as far as talent goes, they have (for the first time in seemingly forever) actually lost guys for academic and behavioral problems. Three DLs (if memory serves) have been bounced, including their best DT recruit from 2013.
 
Every year we hear about their exceptional players, recruits, coaches and fan base...So called experts like Phil Steele and others speak of the "sleeping giant", yet by this time of the year the excuses of youth (how are they so young every year???), injuries (like no one else has them), and now because of the "punishment" of schollys...Their fans have moved on to roundball...
