The fight.

Oh man, I remember the rjkarl/phdeac hostility so very fondly. Boards antiquity indeed.
 
At the 2006 ORANGE BOWL tailgate in Miami -- before RJKarl was a real person with a name and known business ventures on the internet -- DF2009 and I told everybody that his dad was RJKarl, and you should have seen posters freaking out. It was hilarious. Then DF2009, WFDeacon04, and I played football in the torrential rain while everybody cowered in their cars and then TSY was talking about my dad at the portajohns without knowing who I was or that I was standing behind him and then I did a profanity-laced interview with Dave Goren where I said I had been waiting "my whole life" for this kind of game and all the OLDS made fun of me because I was only like twenty at the time.

That tailgate has to be an all-time great moment in boards history.

Been busy, don't have time to read through this, but seems to be a lot of buzz around this. Who wants to give me the short version of what this is all about (for rep, of course)?

I cant remember what I was talking to your dad about, but I'm sure it was important and thought provoking since we'd been drinking for 6 hours or so by then.

My favorite part was when PH kept lying about my Jamie Skeen post and WFU71 kept showing the real post. Even when shown the actual post, PH tried make excuses about he wasn't lying and that wasn't what I meant.

Then there was the part when he tried to say I didn't call the CP3 leaving before the season with details of how it would play out. Then two of the other four people who had gotten the same PM that PH got said he was lying. Then PH said he got a different message. He kept that going even after the other two said they a cut and paste message from me (like PH did).

Then there was the time when he admitted that we had many thousands of interactions and that he had NEVER been wrong in ANY of posts towards me. I doubt Stephen Hawking or Jesus would have ever made such a statement.

Here's a riddle for you- Which has more sides a hexakaidecagon or PH on any issue?

Naw, you were talking about him. You didn't even know that he was there, or who I was. Nor did I know who you were. This was nearly ten years ago, remember.

Sadly, no. I remember lots of rain, dive bombing F-15s, being interviewed by the Orange Bowl and asking for break while I drank a beer, then doing mini keg stands with some 80 year old grandmothers.

To be clear, in this metaphor, in case it's a little confusing, rj is making it sound like I was punching myself (and knocking myself out). I think what he is suggesting is that none of my punches (at him) landed, but his were all knockout blows.

Not the most succinct summary of a 50 page thread about a lot of stuff, and he left out the best bit about cheese in my beard, but it'll do I guess.

I think it was 94Deac that walked around with an RJKarl name tag on for awhile that day. It was hilarious for those of us who had met both 94 and RJ.

Looking back now, I'm amazing we cooked so much food on that tiny grill. Also I believe it was 94Deac's pickup truck that we had loaded down with beer.

I wouldn't want to be associated with him.

Plus, he'd end up calling an offensive foul like he did in pick-up games at Wake.

All you have to know about someone is that they call offensive fouls in pick-up games.
