Impressive. He doesn't require his blockers to sustain their blocks for very long or to create huge openings. He hits the holes fast and hard. Truly a breakaway threat!
 
I was told by a friend that Reid needs to shed 8-10 pounds to regain speed - he took too many hits last year. Not trolling, just friend lives down there and said Reid looked heavier/bigger as a senior.

I'm sure our S&C staff will get him into the right shape in a hurry.
They'll probably be giving all new players workout programs and goals, so they'll be ready when they get to campus.
Reid's a pretty big guy, so I think losing a few lbs won't hurt his strength.....and he'll need all the speed he can get now that he'll be playing against a higher level of competition.
 
Dag, Colburn looks pretty nice. Catching passes out of the backfield, big play ability. Can't believe he fell in our lap.
 
That first team he was playing against with the blue uniforms had some serious issues on defense.
 
Big coverage on Colburn today in all the SC papers. Most Deac coverage in the state in a long, long time.

local sports radio was also overwhelmingly positive for Wake with one guy even talking about UL's ranking in the US News and world Report versus Wake's ranking. It was a nice day to listen to the sports talk radio!

Actually, the reporter asked how many yards or touchdowns he had in his dreams of playing against Louisville. I'll gladly take a 7000-0 win against the Ville. Nice to have some heat in our games against the newest team in the division.

Did we even get this much national coverage when we played in the Orange Bowl?
This is just a great story. It happened so fast and has been a win-win for Matt and for Wake.
Also, I think that Wake has gained a lot of new fans across the country. I'm seeing comments from everywhere that they want to see Matt and the Deacs (the good guys) beat up on Petrino and Louisville (the bad guys) on Oct 30.

The reason Idaho covered it is probably because Petrino's brother is the head coach of the University of Idaho.
