I've been using my fitness pal again. Really it just makes you so aware of what you're eating. Things that seem healthy can be terrible for you.

I previously used LoseIt! but have switched to MyFitnessPal. The only thing I dont like about MFP is that the highest amount of weight you can lose on their plan is 2lbs a week, so its actually telling me I need almost twice the calories that the doctors have me on. I like MFP so much better though, mostly because we can find a recipe online, copy and paste it into the app and it'll calculate the nutritional information for you. The psychologist mentioned that another trait of skinnier people is that they keep track and know exactly what and how much is put into their body every day. Once I lose the weight, I'll probably keep entering the foods.

Wow, congratulations! 30lbs in 2.5 weeks seems like a really rapid weight loss. I guess if it's going through the hospital it's safe though.

What kind of exercise are you doing?

I think the meeting with psychologist is fantastic. Most people who lose weight, gain it back because they return to the habits that got them in the first place. Dealing with the mental aspects should help! I read a great article last week called "there is no after picture" where the point was, if you think you're finished with weight loss, you fall back into your old life style. You have to adopt a new lifestyle and can't consider yourself "done."

The first week or so, its mostly getting rid of water weight bloat. Even so, I was able to notice a difference in the way my clothes fit. I used to have slight pitting edema in my shins, and its now gone. My quads and calves have magically reappeared in all their muscular glory, and my stomach has already shrunk about 4 inches.

They have you start out doing zero exercise the first week to let your body adjust to the diet. The second week they have you start doing 10 minutes of cardio, 5x a week, which is as simple as walking. They build you up to 30 min, 5x a day. Starting on Monday I'm going to do P90X3 again, which is 30 minutes. I have a very athletic frame underneath the fat, so my biggest concern is losing muscle with this diet. Between the P90X3 and the personal trainer sessions, I'm hoping to retain what I've got for the most part.

In MFP's defense, general (not medically supervised) weigh-loss guidelines are 2lbs a week.

And as the expert on urban taste here I concur that it looks like North West designed the new yeezys.

Or a very drunk Scott Disick.

Fuck you, computer. You were being slow so I restarted you. Now you're asking me to restart for updates 5 mins after you boot back up? Don't think so.

My home computer made me reboot 3 times from the updates this week.

I'm thinking I need to get back on My Fitness Pal too. I feel like I've been eating the same while exercising more but I'm not losing weight. In reality I'm glad I've never been super heavy, but there are a few weak moments of desperate need for attention where I wish I had lost like 50lbs to be this size because people would be like "DAMN GIRL" and all compliments and stuff. Instead I get eye rolls if I decline cake from an office birthday or deign to mention that I'd like to drop 5lbs.

(I'll do it for you:  )
