Wake/UVA

If Codi makes both free throws, Wake has to play D for 12 seconds, in a tie game, with UVA having the ball. Which way is the "better" loss?
 
Like Manning said in the article a few weeks ago, moral victories don't matter.

Agreed. Holding a player for extended minutes so he doesn't foul out and miss extended minutes makes little sense especially against a far superior opponent.

I feel really bad for CMM. Such a hard, hard competitor. If only he could shoot free throws.
 
Codi can't just penetrate at will. It comes within the offense. Not to mention no one really can vs UVA. Just seems like that playcall sets us up to lose. What's the better option? Force an entry to Devin and see if he can find someone really fast or get fouled? Just let Hudson or Dino's jack a long three and try to get a oreb? Either seems preferable to tryin to force codi through a defense focused on him.
 
Good effort to come back. When we fell down 51-38, I thought we could lose by 26. But I forgot there was no little Buzzdick clapping his hands on the sidelines.

Tough loss, but Danny has put a lot of fight in this team. Look forward to Bryant Crawford helping out in the backcourt next season. Dinos and Crab are only going to get better.
 
Yeah, I don't get Devin sitting so long. Take him out with 4 fouls and 4 minutes to play? Gill immediately went at Dinos and Leonard, and they got smoked.
 
On a good note, we will kill them in the Joel. Virgina won't be able to stop us at home. Let's hope they keep winning so we can claim the W when they're #2!

Watch the play. Once he gets cut off from the basket there was no where to pass to. Sometimes the other team plays good defense. Codi shouldn't have had the ball in the first place.

The point is he doesn't look to pass, he has his blinders on, only thinking about getting his shot.
 
If Devin would quickly pass out of double-teams. His attempts to defeat doubles by the dribble is a disaster.
