Basketball Departures

Wow, wasn't expecting Rountree.

Neither was I. I was thinking that it would be Rondale or Andre. I wonder if manning and Rountree had already had that talk and that's why DM started Aaron the last few games?

Should free up some minutes for McClinton next year, hopefully he can make a big jump. As far as our rotation goes, looks like we will be two deep at every position. Could definitely use another guard who can shoot it though.

PG: Crawford / Jones
SG: Codi / Wilbekin
SF: Hudson / McClinton
PF: Dinos / Collins
C: Devin / Moore

Manning's gonna have to figure out how to split up minutes, but the pieces are there. I think we could be pretty good next year.

Congrats to both. Very impressed by Rountree and will be sad to see him go.

wow props to rountree for finishing up econ degree in 3 yrs

As much as I liked Aaron(great attitude, hustles), I didn't like seeing him take minutes away from McClinton. I think Rountree has reached his ceiling, while McClinton has a lot of potential.

Manning is just a big rotation guy. Either he learns to go to a 7-8 man rotation or recruits a deep enough team.

I think Roundtree is a really neat kid. A good teammate. Is he planning to play elsewhere after graduation?

Srsly tho, Rountree still has potentially 2 years of eligibility left I think. He should go get a free masters degree somewhere.

Come on down Rondale!

I've sort of changed my mind on Rondale. Dude gets no minutes and is still usually one of the more animated kids on the bench. Always up with the high fives on the timeouts on the rare occasion we do something good. Seems like a solid teammate. With Rountree leaving, we now have enough schollies, so if he wants to continue to sit our bench, more power to him.

Just 1 year.

He will play next year and that will be his last year of collegiate ball.

Rountree is just a super, super nice kid. I cannot even explain how nice of a guy he is. His attitude alone will help him go far in life. Earning his degrees in 3 yrs from Wake Forest is icing on the cake.

I've thought the same thing. He is one of the most engaged and supportive guys on the bench. It would be nice if he could put in some useful minutes, but hard to dislike a guy like that.

That's something you say about a walk-on, not a scholarship player.

Could he not get a 5 year a la Leonard if he wanted it? Or do you only get that opportunity the year you graduate, regardless of how long or short it takes?

Rountree has already played 3 years.
