Wake Baseball 2015

Lead today after 4.5, 4-3 but have stranded 8 already. Water has to do better job at manufacturing runs. Did this yesterday as well. Far out hit and more base runners than N.D. but they came close to taking it away.
 
dumb, coach can't do anything about that, players just need to hit.
 
It's always hard to tell on game tracker but we are a base to base team. We rarely seem to get that extra base. Our situational hitting today has been terrible. Wake could easily have 7 or 8 runs.
 
Calling inopportune bunts and sac flies, swings in 3-0 & 3-1 counts.....that's the coach.
 
This would be a tough one to lose. Bisplinghoff seems to have really hit the wall at the plate. I know none of us anticipated him having to play so much, and he has hung in there but his last big hit was that double to lead off the ninth vs. BC. Today is a good example as to why batting avg. can be such a deceiving stat. Hitting with RISP is critical and we are not doing it to this point but still lots of baseball left.
 
When was the last RBI single with runner on 2nd? Been awhile...
 
Exactly what I was saying 80. We go from base to base and I'm not watching live so it's hard to tell but I doubt all these hits are line drives or a case where the runner has to hold. It makes no sense. Are we that slow? I highly doubt ND has a bunch of hoses in the outfield.
 
We were stealing bases like mad early in the year. What happened?

baserunning has been fine except for freedman getting picked off

we are just getting unlucky with risp, meddling coaching isn't going to help anything
 
I stand corrected on Bisplinghoff's last big hit. Crow never tasted so good. I have no idea who will be left to throw in the 2 midweek games but will enjoy this one. Go Deacs.
 
Nice to get these 2. 11-13 with State and Duke left.
