Boehner Stepping Down at End of October

More fun! I was actually going to suggest Ellmers throw her name into the hat.

Why would Ryan not what to be Speaker? Don't understand how that's a bad thing.

Are you kidding? It's impossible to govern successfully that group of children in that sandbox. Being Speaker in this environment is a bad career move.

One theory is that Ryan realizes the current GOP House is such a dumpster fire that the Tea Party would eventually turn on him for not being conservative enough. Speaker's a dead end job. Kinda surprised Ryan ran for VP at his age since he seems satisfied to be Chair of Ways & Means.

Ryan is probably eyeing Walker not Boehner. Of course, Walker's position doesn't look like the path to the Presidency that it did months ago.

Ways & Means is super powerful. It's the only committee referenced in Ghetto Supastar and Bulworth didn't even serve in that chamber.

Those children need some strong parents who aren't afraid to set boundaries for their kids.

I really don't think anyone cares about this. Perhaps more people should care but I don't thinks anyone, outside if democrats hoping it will mean something electorally, care about who is elected speaker.

I am pretty sure if we polled republicans nationally less than 10% could even name a potential speaker out of this group. I would guess that number would be even lower probably less than 5% of democrats.

It's going to matter to more people if the government shuts down again because of this nonsense. Or if there is a debt ceiling fight because the new speaker takes some tea party vow never to raise it as the price to get elected.

This is serious get your popcorn ready material.

Members were "openly crying?" Pull yourselves together GOP.

Pelosi never had an impact on elections outside of CA.

Republicans ran a ton of ads in 2010 on a "Stop Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats in Congress."
