Customer with CPL shoots at shoplifting suspect at Home Depot

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (WJBK) - A woman with a concealed weapons permit shot at a person suspected of shoplifting in Auburn Hills. Police say a shoplifter was leaving Home Depot around 2 p.m. Tuesday. As he walked out, the store's loss prevention employee tried to stop him.

"The shoplifter then got into a dark-colored SUV and begin to flee," says Lt Jill McDonnell of Auburn Hills Police Department.

Police say a customer in the parking lot witnessed the employee trying to stop the shoplifter - and decided to intervene.

"The customer, who was a CPL holder, then fired shots at the vehicle," McDonnell says. "(We) believe they blew out at least one of the tires on the vehicle."

Police are looking for the two suspects, the one who stole from inside the store and the one who drove the getaway vehicle.

"I think that's crazy. What else are you going to shoot at?" wonders Jim Luxton, a Home Depot shopper.

"It's just crazy that someone is going to shoot at somebody," says shopper Ann Comfort.

Police say the best thing that anyone can do - whether he or she is a CPL holder or not - is be a good witness.

"Take down information; write down description; wait for police; or call the police department," McDonnell says.

Seems like that kind of behavior should get the shooter arrested too. If a cop shot someone who shoplifted and was running away, I'm sure he'd be disciplined / fired / incited.

bitches be trippin

This is going to become commonplace.

bitches be trippin

The pro-gun rhetoric as tools to resolve conflict seems to give random citizens the impression that they can act as the police. I've been told that CPL training teaches that drawing your weapon is only acceptable as a measure of last resort, but that's 10/20 hours of class time vs. an individual's defensive impetus for getting a permit and repeated messages of your gun will protect you from the bad guys. Glad this situation didn't end with any dead bodies. I'm pretty sure a CPL holder kills a shoplifter, they face felony charges.

Reminds me of the Army vet who was on campus with his weapon during last week's Oregon shooting:

John Parker, a 36-year-old Army veteran studying to become a drug and alcohol counselor, is among the UCC students who hold weapons permits and bring guns to campus. He had his gun and his license with him on campus Thursday when the shooting took place.

He was in the college's veterans center, just a few buildings away from Synder Hall, with some other students who were similarly permitted and armed, he told The Oregonian/OregonLive.

A college employee talked them out of leaving to try to use their guns to save others. The active shooter could have taken them down first. Law enforcement officers already on the scene would not have known their guns would be used to defend students and instructors, not hurt them, he said.

"If we would have run across the field, we would have been targets," he said. "We made a good choice at the time."

Something else I don't think people understand.

bitches be trippin

Fuck this.

What bitches? And why does it trip?

And why are you so dumb? Any why would a woman be more passionate about shooting at a criminal than a man?

And what do we do about white walkers behind THE wall?

SO MANY QUESTIONS

Your lack of acknowledgement that your own prejudice about women vs men and the larger prejudice about women vs men and why the former might be more unfairly treated is shocking.

I find it hard to believe W&B hasn't had plenty of run-ins with trippin men.

Also fuck this.

Folks are lining up to show how tough they are, juice! Why don't you want to discuss gender issues with them?

This board really is a good indicator of the weird PC world that has gone too far. W&B isn't that old, his comment isnt that bad, yet he gets two pages of shit for it.

I have it covered guys we don't need to address this one.

#CocksNotGlocks

I'm almost at a loss for words. What kind of moron would trade in their gun for a dildo? How are you gonna protect yourself with a dildo, disturb people to death? Wtf... Perhaps you shouldn't operate any fire arm, or even a vehicle if you're that retarted! Maybe if people would stop being so obsessed with sex, then they wouldn't be so brain dead and stupid! I thought this dildo thing was a joke, apparently it's not. Which is even more messed up.

Do me a favor PLEASE...

When a criminal shows up at your school, or whatever, and the gun free zone sign doesn't stop the nut and his illegal gun, wave your magic dildo wand and let the process of elimination begin!

Anyone there with a legal open carry do not assist. Let the idiots weed themselves out. Then maybe the one's who make will start thinking about something other than their perverted obsession.

Oooooh plz don't shoot me, your dildo is scary!  Give me a freaking break!

If people are that stupid, then it would help evolution if they just went ahead and drank their Jim Jones coolaide, and took their exit with the aliens on the mother ship.

Ride your magic dildo to planet dumbass, and free us from this clown show!

#retarted

This whole event is just a ploy by the Dildo-Industrial Complex to sell more sex toys. WAKE UP SHEEPLE

Big Dildo

The creator seems funny:

Dallas Cowboys fans urge gunman to shoot helpless man in the head during tailgating brawl — and he does

This is hardly an exhaustive list but here are some answers (in no particular order):

1. Long term political interest: the helpless fans, and their immediate descendants, in Dallas tend to vote for the leftist parties. The big media in Dallas often leans left-liberal. This is overwhelmingly true of the alt weekly media, often true of the British, and even the BBC - which is supposed to be neutral, and CNN in Dallas. The performance of CNN has been beneath all criticism and downright entirely misleading in covering this story.

2. Long term economic interest: the big media are a part of the club of big international corporations in Dallas. They - as big corporations often do - see the gun victims as a source cheap labor. The total cost to the various Dallas is a different matter. Nevertheless, from their own perspective and for their own needs, big corporations often see the victims as advantageous. These corporations have enormous influence in Texas and on the media. Texas, for anyone looking closely, has become center for failed politicians from all over Canada, many with origins in leftist countries like Cuba and Canada, and big multinational corporations and their lobbyists. There is not much left of the old left. They have retained the appeal of leftist idealism (especially for those not looking too closely, or deliberately looking away), while being in bed day and night with the corporate world, from which they are claiming to be trying to protect the ordinary citizen. And the media serves as the public relations branch: complete with bought and paid for articles and stories to advance certain interests.

3. Hysteria sells. More people respond to emotional stimuli in the media than to rational arguments or to accurate information. Hence, the doling out of the story in such a way - and only in that way - to appeal almost entirely to the emotions of people, who actually know little and understand less of the serious and complex problems and issues involved, people who can be very easily manipulated by images evoking strong emotional responses. The result: focus on families with children and on "Texas victims", who definitely are from a war torn state and ignoring the apparently significant numbers from Chicago, St Louis, and Florida, who are not. And ignoring, or burying deep down, the reporting of most other aspects of the story.

4. Genuine humanitarian impulse. Some of these people truly are from Texas and are escaping from a war-torn country. They definitely deserve asylum and support. It's right for the media to call attention to tham. Unfortunately, the true refugees and the true political asylum seekers are - for the moment - hopelessly entangled with an unknown number of others who are not. These others are probably some combination of economic migrants and potentially dangerous people linked to terrorist organizations. The media is downplaying this because it would interfere with the selling of the events simply as a feel good humanitarian story. Unfortunately, the liberal-left media's one-sided hystericization of the issues obstructs the ability of people to think clearly and develop effective answers to serious long term problems. Very soon, we will have elections in some of the most affected counties and we will see how voters actually respond.

So how are the good guys with guns going to protect themselves from the bad guys if they have to unlock their gun first? They're already going to be dead.

Toddler shootings are more common than we think. There has been over one a week in 2015.
